Terry
Jackson began his career in accountancy after graduating from a two year
Business Administration diploma program. After a short stint as an
internal auditor for T. Eaton & Co. Terry began a career in public
accounting at the age of twenty one. At age twenty three, he was admitted to
the Certified General Accountants Association and opened his own public
accounting practice firm.
Throughout Mr. Jackson’s accounting career, his
strengths in communicating, and understanding the relationship of money, has assisted an assortment of commercial clients located throughout British
Columbia. Terry's broad areas of expertise include developing start
up plans for a new business through working with principals to jump
start a stagnant business, or preparing the company for eventual sale to
third parties.
Throughout his public practice career, Terry has
developed a close working relationship with the veterinary community,
providing professional consulting services to veterinarians. From
representing veterinarians in selling, purchasing or valuing their
practices, Terry Jackson has developed a wealth of experience and knowledge
of veterinary transactions, unmatched in Western Canada!
Terry’s first introduction to the veterinary industry was
a referral to assist a veterinarian in the evaluation of a purchase into an
existing clinic. With Terry’s assistance, the initial proposal was abandoned
in favour of another. Seventeen year’s later, Terry participated in the
valuation, negotiations and financial arrangements for the retirement of an
originating partner.
